X is rolling out automatic translation and photo editing powered by Grok

Social media platform X is rolling out two major new features powered by xAI’s Grok models. First, automatic translation for posts is now launching worldwide, allowing content to reach a global audience. Users can disable it per language. Second, a new photo editor for iOS includes tools for drawing, adding text, and blurring sensitive details. Notably, users can also edit images using natural language prompts, instructing Grok to transform photos artistically. This follows earlier controversy over AI image misuse, which led X to restrict similar features to paying subscribers. It’s unclear if this new editor will have the same limitation. The updates aim to significantly improve the in-app experience.
