Roku to launch streaming bundles as part of its efforts to continue growing itsprofitability

Roku shared its fourth-quarter earnings for 2025 this week, along with several exciting plans. The company is introducing new streaming bundles, expanding its three-dollar subscription service called Howdy to more platforms, and partnering with additional premium streaming services following the successful addition of HBO Max.

Launching bundles in 2026 is a strategic move to attract viewers seeking better deals as subscription prices rise across the industry. By appealing to cost-conscious consumers, Roku aims to grow its audience. The positive effect of HBO Max on premium subscriptions has encouraged the company to pursue more top-tier partnerships, which should support future growth.

Roku originally launched its ad-free subscription service, Howdy, last year. The company now plans to expand its availability beyond the Roku platform. While specific details are not yet public, Roku CEO Anthony Wood recently stated the goal is to distribute Howdy everywhere.

Other highlights include Roku users streaming 145.6 billion hours of video in 2025, a fifteen percent increase from the previous year. The company is also approaching the milestone of 100 million streaming households, though it will report this figure less frequently.

Financially, Roku had an impressive quarter. It posted net income of 80.5 million dollars, rebounding from a loss of 35.5 million dollars in the same period last year. Total revenue for the fourth quarter reached 1.4 billion dollars, a sixteen percent increase year-over-year.

Looking forward, Roku is optimistic. The company projects total net revenue of 5.5 billion dollars and gross profit of 2.4 billion dollars.

Roku CEO Anthony Wood told investors that the company’s priority in 2023 was to adjust its cost structure and reach a key profitability target by 2024, a goal it achieved a full year early. Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, Roku is confident in its ability to sustain double-digit platform revenue growth while continuing to grow profitability.
