Nvidia is reportedly investing up to $1 billion in Poolside

Semiconductor giant Nvidia is reportedly looking to make a sizable investment in the AI software development platform Poolside. According to reports, Nvidia is looking to invest at least five hundred million dollars, and potentially up to one billion dollars, in Poolside, a company that builds AI models for software development.

This potential investment would be part of a two billion dollar funding round that Poolside is raising, which would value the startup at twelve billion dollars. Reports indicate that Nvidia’s investment could increase to the full one billion dollar amount if the company successfully completes the rest of the funding round.

This would not be Nvidia’s first investment in Poolside. The company previously backed Poolside in its five hundred million dollar Series B funding round in October 2024.

Nvidia, already a prolific investor in artificial intelligence startups, has been broadening its investment portfolio to include diverse sectors. For instance, the company recently said it was exploring a five hundred million dollar investment into the UK-based self-driving technology company Wayve. Last month, Nvidia also took a five billion dollar stake in Intel, with the two companies planning future collaboration on AI chips.
