Netflix introduced a mobile feature called “Moments” last year. This tool allows users to save their favorite scenes from shows and movies directly within the Netflix app. A recent update now gives users more control. Instead of only setting a starting point, people can now specify both a beginning and an end point for their clip. This allows for the creation of clips that are as long or as short as the user prefers.
To use the feature, simply tap anywhere on the screen while watching a show or movie and select the “Clip” button. Once saved, the clip is stored in the “My Netflix” tab for later viewing. Users also have the option to share their clips on social media. Followers who see the post can click on it to be taken directly to that specific scene within the Netflix app.
This update was released alongside the premiere of Part 2 of the second season of “Wednesday.” The popular series, which features a guest appearance by Lady Gaga, is expected to generate significant excitement. Launching the improved Moments feature with this hit show will likely encourage fans to share scenes online. According to Netflix, members have already used the Moments feature across thousands of different titles.
