Narwal introduced its new lineup of smart vacuum cleaners at the Consumer Electronics Show. The flagship model, the Flow 2, features a rounded design and easy-lift tanks. It is equipped with two 1080p RGB cameras that have a 136-degree field of view. These cameras map the cleaning area and use artificial intelligence to recognize various objects.
The AI system can identify an unlimited number of objects. It first attempts to identify items locally. If no match is found, the data is sent to the cloud for further analysis.
The Flow 2 operates in three specialized modes. Pet care mode allows users to define zones where pets frequent for targeted cleaning. It can also monitor pets and offers a two-way audio feature for communication. In baby care mode, the vacuum automatically switches to quiet operation near a crib and alerts users to misplaced toys. The AI floor tag mode recognizes valuable items like jewelry, avoids them, and sends an alert.
This vacuum cleaner offers four cleaning modes designed to identify different dirt types. It can return to its base to wash the mop and then re-clean particularly dirty areas. The design supports a higher hot water washing temperature for improved sanitation.
Alongside the Flow 2, Narwal presented a handheld vacuum called the U50. It weighs 1.41 kilograms and includes UV-C sterilization with heat treatment for allergen removal. The company also demonstrated an unnamed cordless vacuum with a slim design, a 360-degree swivel, and a run time of up to 50 minutes. This cordless model comes with an auto-empty station capable of holding up to 60 days of dust.
