Instagram now lets creators link multiple reels in a series

Instagram now allows creators to connect multiple Reels together in a series. This new feature, which is already available on TikTok, helps viewers more easily follow and discover related content from a creator.

When a creator is telling a story across several videos, they can now link them all together. This eliminates the need for viewers to scroll through a profile or search for different parts of the story. Instead of just telling followers to check back for part two, creators can now organize all related Reels for easy viewing.

This tool is not only useful for multi-part stories but also for grouping similar videos together. For example, a creator making a series of fall baking recipes can now group all of those Reels in one place, making them simpler for an audience to find.

Creators can link their Reels together by using the caption editor when posting or by tapping the overflow menu on a Reel they have already shared. Once a series is linked, a new button will appear in the bottom left corner of the video, allowing viewers to navigate directly to the next Reel in the sequence.

According to Instagram, this was a highly requested feature. The platform believes it will enable richer storytelling and help keep audiences engaged for longer periods, which could lead to increased watch time. This feature may also help creators turn casual viewers into dedicated followers.

While not a monumental change, this new capability is a welcome addition for both creators and viewers, as it significantly improves the experience of finding and following content on the platform.
