Every founder applying to Startup Battlefield aims for the Disrupt Main Stage: a six-minute live pitch and demo in front of top Silicon Valley investors, a dedicated TechCrunch article, and a shot at the $100,000 equity-free prize. The Top 20 are selected from the Startup Battlefield 200 based on having the most compelling, differentiated, and globally-ready companies. Your product and founder videos are crucial for selection.
Selected companies receive pitch coaching from TechCrunch. On stage, they pitch and face live Q&A with elite investors. Five finalists pitch again on the final day for the prize. Even if not initially in the Top 20, companies remain in contention as circumstances change.
All 200 companies get a fully funded demo booth, event passes, pre-event training, and pitch prep. They present at Disrupt, gaining exposure to investors and press. All enter the TechCrunch editorial ecosystem and join the powerful alumni network of 1,700+ companies like Dropbox and Discord.
Applying itself has value, offering exclusive ticket discounts and resources. Applications close May 27, 2026. TechCrunch Disrupt is October 13-15 in San Francisco.
