Here are the 33 US AI startups that have raised $100M or more in 2025

Last year was monumental for the AI industry in the United States and beyond. According to our count at TechCrunch, forty-nine startups raised funding rounds worth one hundred million dollars or more in 2024. Three companies raised more than one mega-round, and seven companies raised rounds that were one billion dollars or larger.

With only a few weeks left in the third quarter, it appears the momentum from 2024 will continue this year. There have already been multiple billion-dollar rounds, and a handful of companies have raised more than one mega-round.

The following is a list of all the U.S. AI companies that have raised one hundred million dollars or more this year, organized by month.

In August, healthcare and housing automation platform EliseAI raised two hundred fifty million dollars in a Series E round that valued the startup at two point two billion dollars. The round was announced on August twentieth and was led by Andreessen Horowitz. Also in August, AI research lab Decart raised one hundred million dollars at a three point one billion dollar valuation. The round included Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Zeev Ventures, among others, and was announced on August seventh.

In July, generative media platform Fal raised a one hundred twenty-five million dollar Series C round led by Meritech Capital Partners. The company announced the round, which values Fal at one point five billion dollars, on July thirty-first. Salesforce Ventures, Shopify Ventures, and the Google AI Futures Fund joined the round. Five-year-old Ambience Healthcare, which is building an AI healthcare operating system, raised a two hundred forty-three million dollar Series C round led by Oak HC/FT and Andreessen Horowitz. Kleiner Perkins, the OpenAI Startup Fund, and Smash Capital also participated. Reka AI, an AI research lab, raised one hundred ten million dollars in a round that included Snowflake and Nvidia. The Series B round was announced on July twenty-second and values the company at one billion dollars. AI research lab Thinking Machines Lab confirmed it raised two billion dollars on July fifteenth. This sizable seed round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Nvidia, Accel, and AMD, among others. The round values the company at twelve billion dollars. Cambridge, Massachusetts-based OpenEvidence, which is building an AI-powered search tool for clinicians, raised two hundred ten million dollars at a three point five billion dollar valuation. The Series B round was announced on July fifteenth and was led by Kleiner Perkins and GV. Harmonic, which is building a mathematical reasoning engine, raised a one hundred million dollar Series B round led by Kleiner Perkins. The round was announced on July tenth and values the company at eight hundred seventy-five million dollars.

In June, healthcare AI unicorn Abridge announced it raised a three hundred million dollar Series E round that values the company at five point three billion dollars. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with Khosla Ventures participating. It was the company’s second round of 2025. Harvey, which builds AI tools for the legal industry, announced it raised its second three hundred million dollar round of 2025 on June twenty-third. This latest Series E round was co-led by Kleiner Perkins and Coatue and brings the company’s valuation to five billion dollars. Healthcare AI startup Tennr announced it raised a one hundred one million dollar Series C round led by IVP with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, GV, and Andreessen Horowitz, among others. The round values the company at six hundred five million dollars. Enterprise search startup Glean announced a one hundred fifty million dollar Series F round on June tenth, led by Wellington Management with participation from Sequoia, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Kleiner Perkins, among others. Glean is now valued at seven point two five billion dollars. Anysphere, the AI research lab behind AI coding tool Cursor, raised a nine hundred million dollar Series C round that values the company at nearly ten billion dollars. The round was led by Thrive Capital with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Accel, and DST Global.

In May, AI data labeling startup Snorkel AI announced a one hundred million dollar Series D round on May twenty-ninth, valuing the company at one point three billion dollars. The round was led by Addition with participation from Prosperity7 Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Greylock. LMArena, a popular, community-driven benchmarking tool for AI models, raised a one hundred million dollar seed round that valued the startup at six hundred million dollars. The round was announced on May twenty-first and was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and UC Investments. Lightspeed Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins, and Felicis also participated. Las Vegas-based AI infrastructure company TensorWave announced a one hundred million dollar Series A round on May fourteenth. The round was co-led by Magnetar Capital and AMD Ventures with participation from Prosperity7 Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and Maverick Silicon.

In April, SandboxAQ closed a four hundred fifty million dollar Series E round on April fourth that valued the AI model company at five point seven billion dollars. The round included Nvidia, Google, and Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio among other investors. Runway, which creates AI models for media production, raised a three hundred eight million dollar Series D round that was announced on April third, valuing the company at three billion dollars. It was led by General Atlantic. SoftBank, Nvidia, and Fidelity also participated.

In March, AI behemoth OpenAI raised a record-breaking forty billion dollar funding round that valued the startup at three hundred billion dollars. This round, which closed on March thirty-first, was led by SoftBank with participation from Thrive Capital, Microsoft, and Coatue, among others. On March twenty-fifth, Nexthop AI, an AI infrastructure company, announced that it had raised a Series A round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The one hundred ten million dollar round also included Kleiner Perkins, Battery Ventures, and Emergent Ventures, among others. Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Insilico Medicine raised one hundred ten million dollars for its generative AI-powered drug discovery platform as announced on March thirteenth. This Series E round valued the company at one billion dollars and was co-led by Value Partners and Pudong Chuangtou. AI infrastructure company Celestial AI raised a two hundred fifty million dollar Series C round that valued the company at two point five billion dollars. The March eleventh round was led by Fidelity with participation from Tiger Global, BlackRock, and Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, among others. Lila Sciences raised a two hundred million dollar seed round as it looks to create a science superintelligence platform. The round was led by Flagship Pioneering. The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company also received funding from March Capital, General Catalyst, and the ARK Venture Fund, among others. Brooklyn-based Reflection AI, which looks to build superintelligent autonomous systems, raised a one hundred thirty million dollar Series A round that values the one-year-old company at five hundred eighty million dollars. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and CRV. AI coding startup Turing closed a Series E round on March seventh that valued the startup, which partners with LLM companies, at two point two billion dollars. The one hundred eleven million dollar round was led by Khazanah Nasional with participation from WestBridge Capital, Gaingels, and Sozo Ventures, among others. Shield AI, an AI defense tech startup, raised two hundred forty million dollars in a Series F round that closed on March sixth. This round was co-led by L3Harris Technologies and Hanwha Aerospace, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz and the US Innovative Technology Fund, among others. The round valued the company at five point three billion dollars. AI research and large language model company Anthropic raised three point five billion dollars in a Series E round that valued the startup at sixty-one point five billion dollars. The round was announced on March third and was led by Lightspeed with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and General Catalyst, among others.

In February, Together AI, which creates open source generative AI and AI model development infrastructure, raised a three hundred five million dollar Series B round that valued the company at three point three billion dollars. The February twentieth round was co-led by Prosperity7 and General Catalyst with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Nvidia, Lux Capital, and others. AI infrastructure company Lambda raised a four hundred eighty million dollar Series D round that was announced on February nineteenth. The round valued the startup at nearly two point five billion dollars and was co-led by SGW and Andra Capital. Nvidia, G Squared, and ARK Invest also participated. Abridge, an AI platform that transcribes patient-clinician conversations, was valued at two point seven five billion dollars in a Series D round that was announced on February seventeenth. The two hundred fifty million dollar round was co-led by IVP and Elad Gil. Lightspeed, Redpoint, and Spark Capital also participated. Eudia, an AI legal tech company, raised one hundred five million dollars in a Series A round led by General Catalyst. Floodgate, Defy Ventures, and Everywhere Ventures also participated in the round in addition to other VC firms and numerous angel investors. The round closed on February thirteenth. AI hardware startup EnCharge AI raised a one hundred million dollar Series B round that also closed on February thirteenth. The round was led by Tiger Global with participation from Scout Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and RTX Ventures, among others. The Santa Clara-based business was founded in 2022. AI legal tech company Harvey raised a three hundred million dollar Series D round that valued the three-year-old company at three billion dollars. The round was led by Sequoia and announced on February twelfth. The OpenAI Startup Fund, Kleiner Perkins, and Elad Gil also participated in the raise.

In January, synthetic voice startup ElevenLabs raised a one hundred eighty million dollar Series C round that valued the company at more than three billion dollars. It was announced on January thirtieth. The round was co-led by ICONIQ Growth and Andreessen Horowitz. Sequoia, NEA, and Salesforce Ventures also participated. Hippocratic AI, which develops large language models for the healthcare industry, announced a one hundred forty-one million dollar Series B round on January ninth. This round valued the company at more than one point six billion dollars and was led by Kleiner Perkins. Andreessen Horowitz, Nvidia, and General Catalyst also participated.
