Google has announced its own magnetic accessory system called PixelSnap for the new Pixel 10 series. This system allows users to attach a variety of magnetic accessories to their devices, including wireless chargers, stands, and grips. Alongside the phone launch, Google is releasing its own official PixelSnap cases and a line of compatible accessories.
The announcement comes nearly five years after Apple introduced its MagSafe ecosystem for the iPhone 12. Google’s PixelSnap offers similar functionality, enabling a new wave of accessories designed for the Pixel lineup.
One of the simplest accessories is the Ring Stand. This puck-like device attaches magnetically to the phone. Users can pull out the ring to prop up their device as a stand for viewing content.
All new Pixel devices support the Qi2 wireless charging standard. The Pixel 10 Pro XL supports 25W wireless charging, while the other models in the series, the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and the 10 Fold, are compatible with 15W wireless charging.
Google is also launching a new PixelSnap charger, available as a standalone unit or with an optional stand. The basic charger allows for charging while the phone is lying flat. The stand version is designed for users who wish to operate their phone while it charges or to display home control widgets on the screen.
Pricing for the PixelSnap accessories has been set. The PixelSnap cases start at $49.99. The PixelSnap Ring Stand is priced at $29.99. The PixelSnap charger costs $39.99, and the PixelSnap charger with stand is $69.99.
Google confirmed that the Pixel 10 series phones are compatible with a wide range of magnetic accessories. This includes car mounts, chargers, products from Made for Google partners, and even certain MagSafe accessories.
