ElevenLabs strike deals with celebs to create AI audio

ElevenLabs has announced a partnership with actors Michael Caine and Matthew McConaughey to create AI-generated versions of their voices. This development comes as the relationship between Hollywood and artificial intelligence continues to evolve. AI and its regulations were central concerns during the recent Hollywood strikes, though some artists are now becoming more open to the technology.

Matthew McConaughey is also an investor in ElevenLabs. The company plans to use his AI voice to translate his newsletter into Spanish audio. This move is part of a broader trend, as last year Meta announced its own AI voice assistants featuring the voices of actresses Kristen Bell and Judi Dench.

In addition to these partnerships, ElevenLabs has launched a new marketplace. This platform will allow brands to license authorized AI-generated voices of celebrities. The initial lineup includes Michael Caine along with other notable figures such as Liza Minnelli and Dr. Maya Angelou.

ElevenLabs is a prominent AI unicorn company with significant backing from investors. The firm has raised substantial funding, achieving a multi-billion dollar valuation with support from venture capital firms.
