Avec’s Tinder-style email app allows you to swipe through your inbox

A new iOS app called Avec aims to revolutionize email on mobile. It uses a Tinder-style card interface where you swipe right to archive an email and left to save it for later. A key feature lets you hold a button to dictate replies with your voice, generating a draft you can edit before sending. Unlike other voice tools, Avec has full access to your email context, allowing it to better understand names and match your personal tone.

The app also learns from your habits. Swiping down marks emails as unimportant, and Avec will eventually group similar ones. You can switch to a traditional list view if preferred. Founded by ex-Replit engineer Jonathan Unikowski, Avec believes mobile constraints foster creativity for a better email experience. It’s currently free for Gmail users in the U.S., with Outlook support coming. The company has raised $8.4 million from investors like Lightspeed and Haystack.
