Anthropic announced a major new partnership with Google and Broadcom to secure more computing power for its Claude AI models. This expanded deal increases Anthropic’s use of Google’s advanced AI chips and builds on a previous 2025 agreement. The new capacity, totaling 3.5 gigawatts according to a Broadcom filing, will come online in 2027 and be primarily housed in the U.S., supporting a prior $50 billion infrastructure commitment.
Anthropic’s CFO called this their most significant compute commitment yet, necessary to keep pace with explosive growth. Demand for Claude has soared among enterprise customers. The company recently closed a $30 billion funding round, valuing it at $380 billion. It also reported a massive jump in revenue, now at a $30 billion annual run rate, and has over 1,000 business customers each spending more than $1 million per year.
