Amazon is introducing a new feature to simplify buying more items throughout the week. The company is updating its Amazon Shopping app and website with a new option for Prime members. This feature allows members to add items to upcoming deliveries with a single tap, eliminating the need to create a new order.
This update is designed to better match how people actually shop online. Rather than compiling one large order with multiple items, customers often remember things they need at different times and place several orders. Amazon has previously addressed the logistical challenges of this habit with options like Amazon Day delivery, which lets customers select a specific day to receive all their recent orders at once. The company also offers incentives for customers who choose slower delivery methods in exchange for a digital reward.
Now, Prime members will see a bright blue button on product pages that reads “Add to Delivery.” This button appears below the “Add to Cart” option and replaces the “Buy Now” one-click checkout button. If you change your mind or click the button by mistake, an “Undo” option is available to remove the item immediately.
The “Add to Delivery” button will appear whenever adding an item to your next order is possible. This feature is rolling out to Prime members in the United States across eligible items. An Amazon Prime membership currently costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year in the U.S.
