Gamma, a startup that creates AI-generated presentations, websites, and social media posts, announced on Monday a sixty-eight million dollar Series B funding round. The investment was led by Andreessen Horowitz and values the company at two point one billion dollars.
Co-founder and CEO Grant Lee stated that the company has profitably reached one hundred million dollars in annual recurring revenue. He also reported that the platform has seventy million users. Lee previously noted that the startup reached fifty million dollars in revenue profitably within its first two years.
Gamma last raised a twelve million dollar Series A round led by Accel in 2024. The company is not a new player in the AI space by the standards of the industry. It was founded in late 2020, with its product first launching to the public in 2022.
The company’s more cautious approach to fundraising, compared to other AI startups, helped it achieve a double-unicorn valuation. This was accomplished after raising a total of approximately ninety million dollars. Lee said this milestone was reached with a team of only about fifty employees.
The recent Series B round included a twenty million dollar secondary offering that provided liquidity for early employees. The latest funding also included participation from Accel and Uncork Capital. Other backers of the company include South Park Commons and Hustle Fund.
